Description

Distilled in Strathmill distillery in Speyside, this release was part of the 2014 Diageo Special Releases. This expression was distilled in 1988 and laid down to mature in refill American oak casks for 25 years before 2,700 bottles were produced at a strength of 52.4% abv.

Palate
Brown sugar, bison grass, sharper citrus, thinly spread thyme honey. Soft and creamy, sweet, fresh, herbaceous with traces of liquorice.
Finish
Zingy menthol. Intense, elegant, and persistent. Long, with aromatic and drying black teas, and oak shavings.
