Description
The Glendalough 13 Year Old Mizunara Finish is an Irish single malt whiskey, initially matured for 12-13 years in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels before undergoing a finishing period of up to a year in rare Japanese Mizunara oak casks. This expression was the first Irish whiskey to be finished in Mizunara oak, sourced from the Ariake cooperage in Japan. It is bottled at 46% ABV and is non-chill filtered. The whiskey is noted for its unique flavor profile imparted by the Mizunara wood, including notes of sandalwood, vanilla, coconut, and various fruits and spices.
